Everyone should have a great leather jacket in their wardrobe. It is perfect to wear with a T-shirt and jeans and great pair of high tops. -Brad Goreski-
Step 6 ― Attach a Top Part. Put the hardwood edging in the plywood peak panel applying the same rule. Now place the cabinet top‐made out of material such as maple–faced also trimmed plywood—in position, also drive bolts thru the cleats to its bottom.
Rip plus crosscut the pieces for the door frames and―again using the router also rabbeting bit‐cut the panel rabbet on the inside edges out of the frame. Drill a set from pocket–screw holes on the end out of every door rail, then screws. Wipe several carpenter's adhesives onto a maple pouch–screw plug then inserts one into holes.
Step 7 ― Finishing Touches. It`s time to pick the panels you´ll use. Cut metal‐mesh panels to dimensions with aviation snips, and insert in the rabbets then secure with molding and nailed to the doorframe.
Compact: Set the panel into a rabbet cut in the door‘s back and secure it together with glass–door clips held together with screws.
Metal mesh: Secure the panel together with 3⁄8" x 3⁄8" beaded screen trim. Drive pneumatic gauge‐strip‐headless‐pins thru the moulding’s side or else front.
If, on the other hand, ye use ¼—inch plywood wrapped with wallpaper, secure the panel together with glass―door clips. Regardless out of the panel material, remember that thou might need to adjust the rabbet depth plus width to correspond. For thin panels, we found that a rabbet that′s 3⁄8 inches deep and ½ inch wide runs pretty good.
Fasten 2 self‐closing cabinet–door hinges to every door, then lay the cabinet on its back then set the doors in the front frame. Center the doors at the cabinet with a 1⁄8‐inch space amongst them. Drill holes thru the hinges to the front frame then screw to the frame.
Finishing Touches. Set a clothes iron on high (cotton), without steam, then apply iron–on maple coating banding to the front out of every shelf. Firmly rub the coating with a timber block to secure the bond. After the coating has cooled, use scissors plus a sanding block, respectively, to cut also hone the coating to fit.
Fill holes with timber putty, let dry, then apply 120—grit sandpaper to the surface. Wipe clean dust with a cloth, then apply two coats of satin polyurethane lacquer. If you‵d prefer to stain the cabinet, apply two coats, wait for them to dry, then apply lacquer. Press iron shelf pegs to the holes on the cabinet sides after that adjust the shelves to the place.
